Wo-Built Inc. is a design and build company with difference. We are a female-led renovation company located in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada and we present some compelling advantages over other renovation firms.

We offer complete design and build services for construction, renovation and remodelling projects with our unique program called "Your Dream House". It starts with a 90-minute assessment and questionnaire of the homeowner's vision for making their space into reality. Our extensive architectural background is instrumental in understanding the importance of how design has an impact on a particular renovation or remodelling project.

We also recognize the importance of your budget and will always make every effort to be cost-effective. Although our specialty is in front and rear extensions, 2nd floor additions and extensive interior remodelling, we are able to accommodate many other renovation projects that you might have in mind.

Due to popular demand our services have been expanded to include in-house kitchen designs and remodelling and a variety of home maintenance service plans to make your life easier. We also extended experience in commercial renovations and remodelling.

Our passion is energy conversation and "green" building and we strive to minimize the ecological footprint in all our projects.

Re: Home Maintenance Service

We would like to call your attention to a new service we are initiating in your area. It is a home maintenance service package geared to senior citizens who would like to stay in their own homes but need some assistance with the maintenance and repairs of their homes. We at Wo-built Inc. understand that many seniors would still like to live independently in their own homes but age-related disabilities or other circumstances make it a hardship for them to keep up with repairs and maintenance on their own. This is where our home maintenance service comes in.

We have created a unique service that consists of a one-stop maintenance service for the home. It will minimize the stress and hassle of having to deal with, and to schedule several different companies and trades people for repair and service. We will send our trustworthy, insured, highly qualified and professional handy-people on a regularly scheduled visit to cover a wide range of repairs and maintenance work. We can also help with senior independent-living requirement installations (i.e. handrails, lever handles on doors, walk-in showers with grab bars and/or bathtub grab bars).

We at Wo-Built Inc. can help with assessing the needs of the senior clients; doing the necessary repairs and helping them maintain their homes to make their golden years more comfortable in their own homes.

About Wo-Built's Pre-apprenticeship Training for Women

We are presently establishing our own pre-apprenticeship training programs in the Greater Toronto Area for the finishing trades, which deal with all the detail orientated issues, i.e. the door surrounds, the baseboards, the plastering, the flooring, tiling, cabinetry etc. - all the trades where a Woman's Touch for detailing and design is appreciated.
The course start date has yet be determined as we are in the process of revamping it to accommodate more applicants. It will be held at the Pre-apprenticeship Training Institute in Toronto. We are looking for women who are interested in making the finishing trades their career. Click here for the course outline and summary.

Wo-Built Inc's Commitment to the Community

For those of you who have not heard of us, WO-BUILT INC is a women led construction company for women using a "Woman’s Touch". Part of the "Woman’s Touch" is our commitment to the Community.

I am in danger of repeating myself, but we are a construction company with a social mission. As mentioned in previous postings we want to help women succeed in the skilled building trades.

However, our commitment to the community goes beyond our training mission. Many Women and Youth Not-For-Profit organizations in the Greater Toronto Area need construction help at some stage. We want to be of help to these organizations using our talents as project and construction managers so that during construction projects they obtain the best value for their money. We offer this service at very much reduced rates to these organizations. This is our way of giving back to the community.

Of course we have to strike a balance between our Design and Build projects and our community projects. Hence, each project is looked at for its merits and the level of need and if we can accommodate it, we will try to help.
