The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD)

Wo-Built is now an official member of the Building Industry and Land Development (BILD).

BILD is the voice of land development, home building and the professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Wo-Built has joined BILD because its purpose is to develop excellent communication between the building industry and government, to provide opportunities for its members and to protect the interests of the consumers.

BILD holds a membership of home-builders, renovators, environmental planners, subcontractors, architects and many other professionals associated with the home-building industry. As part of the home-building/renovating industry, we are proud to be an official member of BILD.

Wo-Built Joins Trees Ontario to Improve Air Quality

TORONTO – August 12, 2008 – Trees Ontario and Wo-Built Inc. are proud to announce a partnership that will connect home renovations with improving air quality and natural landscapes through tree planting.

We have partnered with Trees Ontario!

Wo-Built has signed on with Trees Ontario and has made a commitment to help replenish our Forestry. Over the years, the impact of climate change and a decline in tree planting has put our trees and forests in peril. Trees are a vital part of our ecosystem. They replenish our oxygen, cool our cities, help to filter pollutants from our air and so much more.

Trees Ontario has a mission to increase the forested landscape of Ontario's private lands by working with partners, government and sponsors, and through the support and promotion of its' tree planting programs. As a partner Wo-Built is committed to helping Trees Ontario with its reforestation efforts. Trees are important!

The Pre-Apprenticeship Course Start Date
Has Been Postponed!

We have postponed the starting date of the Pre-Apprenticeship Course for Women in the Finishing Trades.

A number of you interested applicants have expressed some concern over the obstacles that might prevent you from being able to participate in the course. Therefore, we are taking another look at some of the issues that you have a concern about and are trying to address them.

So, we are now in the process of revamping the Pre-Apprenticeship Course for Women in the Finishing Trades. Hopefully we will be able to tackle some of the hurdles you face in taking this course and offer you a few more options (i.e. sponsorships, part-time or week-end hours).

As of yet, a new starting date has not been decided on. So please stay tuned for details of our NEW start date.
